Might and Magic II: Part 6 (In which I don't remember anything)

Yeah, see the title. I last played the game like 6 months ago. I played it three times, so I have 3 small updates worth of pictures. Of course I'm just uploading them now, so I don't even remember what happened when I last played, so I apologize if its not up to par with the last updates.

Anyways, here we go.

So we begin by wandering around the wilderness outside the starting city. We farmed Griffons for awhile, and got some good stuff. While going back to town we stumble upon the circus.

We play all the games and they basically all give the same prize:

Whatever the heck that is...

We wander by the river and encounter the black knight from Monty Python again.

Well, you know, I have to at least try. He's still overpowered.

We find the Gourmet. I wonder why the G is capitalized?

He's kind of a jerk. I guess we don't fit the bill. Well, we are eating stuff called Goblins Gruel so...

We found this guy in the middle of no where.

Still no idea what the heck a cupie doll is, so as far as I'm concerned he can have it. He seems pretty elated about it. Now we just have to find the Inner Limits, which I have about as much knowledge about as I do cupie dolls...

Eventually our venturing brings us into the desert.

Where we proceed to get horribly maimed. I think David fled, only to get killed trying to get back to town.

We leave whatever city we were saved at and...

Yeah, I don't even know anymore... What I learned from this is: YOU DON'T MESS WITH MAD PEASANTS!

In the mountains near Winterhaven Tundara (I think) we find something interesting.

Somehow I lack a screenshot to what happens next, but I think I have a pretty good guess it didn't end well. I already know there are sludge monsters, I imagine we were annihilated by super sludge monsters.

I think I have learned to stay away from water, there's always pretty scary monsters near water.

Why do all the humans in the game have purple skin? They don't look too hard, they're only half naked girls, right?

OH MY JESUS HELL GOD! The screen can't show it, but when she frenzies she hits I think either all the characters or 4 random characters. Either way its hurts like all hell. Fortunately it also kills her.  Unfortunately there are many other natives ready to do the same.

Oh look! We somehow survived! I did learn my lesson. Don't mess with monsters with "Crazed," "Mad," or anything similar in their names. Those mad peasants that attacked us earlier had the same move.

Quick pitstop at the temple in some city.

Uh... what?

Oh god, where am I?

Thats not very nice. My entire party consists of humans. Well, lets continue regardless, I mean, we're already lost as hell. We don't even know where we are at this point.

Well, if we go there, we'll at least sort of know where we are. We'll know we're at Luxus Palace, wherever that is. However, we decide not to. I imagine wherever we are, its location might be near-ish to where we got teleported here from. So if we can get out, we might be able to figure out where we are.

They really want me to go to Luxus Palace it seems. Still, I decline.

We found our way out somehow. Turns out we were in Castle Pinehurst. However, they still won't let us in without a key. We head back to the inn and save. And then head back to that spot that teleported us into the castle.

I went a different direction and found a different teleporter NPC. I decided that I saved, so why the hell not. I'll bet you'll never guess why we shouldn't!

Thats all the screenshots I have for this update. I have two more updates to do (probably tomorrow and the next day). Then I'll start playing again and I'll have fresh updates where I don't have to completely bullshit stuff up.

Might and Magic II - Part 5

So I haven't played this in awhile. I had some free time the other day so I figured I should update. This is a short update, because nothing really exciting happened.

Basically the progression of this game, quite frankly, sucks. The first map seems easy enough. Mediocre monsters that you pretty much have to try and get killed by. Then you go to the next map over, and...

You get killed instantly by everything and anything. Granted I actually did win this battle, but not without paying with a few of my character's lives.

Hmm, this doesn't look like a muscular man to me. Albeit, amazons are pretty beefy, but they are quite obviously female.

Anyhow, I always wanted to be.... A LUMBERJACK! Leaping from tree to tree, with my best girlie by my side. We'd sing, sing, sing...

Unfortunately, my dream will never become a reality.... At least I can always fall back on adventuring.

We found some priests asking if we seek the Sword of Nobility, having never heard of such a sword, I was like, "uh...sure?" Bad idea. They proceeded to blast me into oblivion with crazy powerful spells that gibbed each of my party members one by one. Needless to say, I died.

After getting killed on a number of occasions, we head back to town. Somehow we found Sandsobar. We head over to the slums, as we heard tell of a dungeon in the slums.

The dungeon was relatively easy. There really wasn't much to show about it. We did find quite a few "hints" about locations of certain items and such.

The Thaumaturge of Good is apparently in a safe. Fortunately we now have the combination. Unfortunately we have no bloody clue as to where it is...

We can't even swim, so I doubt we'll be going to the Elemental Plane of Water anytime soon. But if we do, we know where to get Encasement, whatever that is. Sounds like a magic spell to me. Also sounds like a pretty useless spell.

I'm thinking this is a typo and should be capacitor. Its probably related to the fluxers.

Finally the Earth Disc is apparently in Castle Xabran. I still have no idea where to find the keys to get in these castles. And I'm probably still too low in level to force my way in.

This sounds better than it actually is. Hein, my thief, has always sucked. This boosted his thief skills a bit, but ultimately, he still blows himself up when trying to disarm traps. Now its basically EVERY OTHER chest that explodes instead of EVERY chest.

I played for quite a long time, and I didn't even muster a level up for every character.

End of Part 5...

Updates are probably going to be infrequent. This game is fricking hard. Its hard as hell to find an area where I should be, but easy as hell to find a place I SHOULDN'T be. I'm kind of getting frustrated. I'm gonna try and finish this Lets Try and Play, but it could be awhile for an update.

Might and Magic II - Part 4

As you may remember we last left off in the city of Sandsobar, which despite its name is not in the desert. Anyhow, after "clearing" the area, we decide to head out of the city.

Found some more gibberish signs.

I had just started the game, so I didn't really care if I died yet, so why not?

Needless to say, I died.

Wandering around we found a castle. We needed yet another key. Knowing what happened last time, we decide to walk away unscathed.

Only to promptly run into half-naked Barbarian chicks. They systematically one-hit kill each character.

I wander around trying to find where to go / trying not to get killed, and fail miserably. I died around 3 more times. Sandsobar is not a very friendly area. I'm knd of curious how I even got there in the first place.

Fortunately in the city of Sandsobar, there is a teleporter NPC. It costs a bit of gold, but it teleports you to Middlegate, which is probably more fit for my level.

So back wandering outside Middlegate and we find the black knight. We fight, and he kills us. So much for this area being more fit for my level. Well, maybe I have wandered a bit far. And stupid me forgot to set the spawnpoint back at Middlegate so I spawn back at Sandsobar.

After resetting the spawn point to Middlegate, I remember that I can travel in the thick forests and mountains, so I start explorng the area right around the city.

I fight some crazed dwarves. They are kind of difficult, since they have a skill that can hit like 15 damage on the entire party. Fortunately I kill them before they do so.

Nasty Witches! In the animation she has a exaggerated jiggle if you catch my drift. They were actually relatively easy. I thought they were gonna kill us.

OrCon! Orc aren't hard so we fight them.

Well, maybe 250 orcs might be a bit hard. We fight for awhile, but I didn't realize that orcs had bows, so we were out-matched. We kill about 50-75 of them, but ultimately we have no choice but to run from battle.

We find some Jesus-wannabe here. I think he teaches the spell "Fly"or something.

Hmm, this calls for investigation. Which ends in us being murdered by a pegasus.

We find the city of Tundra! Despite the foresty backdrop, it really is in the tundra.

Stepping into the city and a beggar warns us of the snowbeast.

There's really not much to see in Tundra. Just a few messages on the walls.

I'm curious why they say "last seen wearing a ring." Was the ring ALL she was wearing?

Apparently people have been disappearing in the city.

This area is probably the place most of interest. I decided not to go there, because the enemies walking around town were kind of strong.

Back near the town of Middlegate, we find Corak's Cave! Lloyd is supposed to be trapped in here, so we venture forth as a rescue team.

Hmm, this place is littered with the undead. Every where you go, zombies, skeletons and mummies.

I figured there would be treasure in here, but all I found were more mummies and zombies.

After exploreing the entire undead filled dungeon, we find Corak's Crypt. This must be where Lloyd is!

Unfortunately, its apparently become some sort of amusement park type thing. We don't have tickets, so we can't go in...

Crestfallen, we leave the dungeon.

Fortunately, the undead give lots of experience. They also dropped some awesome equipment.

End of part 4...

This was kind of a short chapter, but I played the game for quite awhile. Its just, that nothing really exciting happened in the game.
